What is Hermes free telehealth?Hermes Free Telehealth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting volunteer health providers to patients via telemedicine. All of our telehealth appointments are 100% free and our team is run entirely by volunteers.
-
Who will be helping me?In your telehealth appointment, you will be connected to a highly skilled, licensed, and verified medical provider. All of our medical providers meet the licensing and certification requirements of the State where they practice and have undergone thorough identity/license verification before onboarding. Our team of volunteer medical providers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and are united in their dedication to health equity.
-
What kind of things can Telehealth address? Our telehealth platform provides free access to medical providers for non-emergency acute illnesses or injuries. A few, non-exhaustive examples of conditions that our telehealth consultations can treat are Cold/Flu, Infections, Nausea, Headaches, Constipation/Diarrhea, Small Wounds, etc. Our telehealth platform is not insurance and does not provide emergency care, chronic care or critical care management. If your situation constitutes a medical or mental health emergency, if you are in immediate physical distress, or if physical harm to yourself or others is at all a possibility, please call 911. Telehealth cannot provide emergency assistance.
-
Can I access provider notes from my telehealth visit?Telehealth can supplement in-person care but cannot serve as a replacement. Notes from your telehealth visit are uploaded to the telehealth platform at the end of the visit and will be available to you to download or email to your PCP.
-
How do I pay for prescriptions? While Hermes Free Telehealth cannot currently cover the cost of prescriptions, we have a team of Health Navigators that will connect with you after your telehealth visit to help you find the most affordable way to access your prescriptions.
-
What do I do if I need in-person care?If you need a referral to in-person care after your telehealth visit, our team of Health Navigators will help you find a local clinic that provides free or affordable in-person care.
